To strengthen our security framework, we are hiring an IT security engineer to manage and implement security measures across our infrastructure and the customer’s ones.
About the role
The IT security engineer plays a key role in securing Mixvoip’s systems, networks, and cloud environments. This includes deploying and managing Zero Trust security models, endpoint protection, and network defense solutions. The role also involves incident analysis, regulatory compliance, and process automation.
Key responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain security solutions for network, application, and cloud protection.
- Implement and operate Zero Trust security principles.
- Manage network protection & response (NPR), endpoint detection & response (EDR), and extended detection & response (XDR).
- Analyze security incidents, lead response efforts, and apply risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure application and cloud workload security against evolving threats.
- Improve security architecture in collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and ISO 27001.
- Automate security processes through scripting.
- Harden and secure cloud environments and distributed applications.
- Support ISO certification processes and security compliance related to the EU AI Act.
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience in IT security: You should have at least 5 years of experience in IT security, with a strong emphasis on cloud security. Your expertise in securing networks, applications, and cloud environments will be crucial in this role.
- Deep understanding of security solutions: We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in configuring and managing security tools, particularly Sophos and Microsoft Azure Security Suite. Familiarity with Zero Trust models, Network Protection & Response (NPR), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and Extended Detection & Response (XDR) is essential.
- Networking and traffic analysis skills: A strong grasp of network protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP services, and traffic analysis will enable you to identify and mitigate potential security threats effectively.
- Application security expertise: Knowledge of web application firewalls (WAF), API security, and best practices for securing applications will be highly valued.
- Automation and scripting proficiency: You should be comfortable automating security processes using scripting languages, enabling faster response times and reducing manual intervention.
- System security across multiple platforms: Experience in securing and managing Windows, Mac, and Linux-based systems is a must.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge: Familiarity with frameworks such as PSF, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and ISO 27001 will be beneficial in ensuring compliance with security standards.

- Experience in international IT security projects: A global perspective on cybersecurity threats and best practices will be a great asset.
- Recognized security certifications: Holding certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent demonstrates your expertise in the field.
- Vendor-specific expertise: Certifications related to Sophos or other leading security providers will be a plus.
